Its not just a blobeye, its a JDM twin scrol (think he means scroll ) blobeye.
Really the guy is either very desperate, the car is a pile of poo or its a scam, these go for 8k+ at this age.

Having a closer look at the pics, the car has uk lights, normally a sign of a crash repaired JDM.

if its genuine that's one hell of a bargain, a dealer would pay more than that for it so i think something is not right there.

Give it a phone and see what happens. As powerwrx said, there are scams on PH all the time. 2002 STi on last week for 3500. Phone number didnt work so I emailed the seller and this was the reply.

Hi,

The car is still available for sale,it is in perfect condition in and out,100% HPI clear with a certificate to confirm, full service history.
I just got married and moved with my Spanish husband in Madrid,Spain.I took the car with me so the car is currently here.
I can`t use it in Spain because it has the wheel on the right side and it would also cost me too much to register it here.
It is still registered in the UK and since I have absolutely no use for it I am looking for a fast sale( this is why the low asking price)
I can ship the car from here directly to your home address and I am also willing to cover all delivery expenses.
I look forward to your reply
Regards
Kate

Then I got this as well

Hi,

Because of the distance we need to complete the sale 100% safe and secure for both of us this is why it would be best use Pistonheads to ensure our transaction.
This is how its going to work:
I will contact Pistonheads and ensure our transaction from my account. When they have verified and approved our transaction they will send you an invoice regarding how to complete our sale in a safe way.
I used to work in the car sales business when I lived in the UK and I`ve used PH to complete distance sales all the time,it is very very easy to use and absolutely safe both for the buyer and the seller.
If you will accept the transaction than I can arrange the delivery to your home address. The delivery will take max 4 days.
The car will be delivered at your home address by truck,it will come with the V5 log book signed by me so you can easily transfer it on to your name,2 spare keys and service records. You will also have a 24hrs inspection of the car and the right to refuse the car if will find ANYTHING wrong with the car and documents.
If you agree with these terms and please let me know your full name, address and contact number(s) for the delivery so I can start the PH transaction and arrange the shipment.
I am sure you will simply love the car and there won`t be any problems with the sale.
I look forward to your reply
Regards
Kate

The advert was removed by PH not long after lol.

Are there actually folk out there that fall for these scams??

Cheers chaps I thought I was streetwise living in London for 35 years! What a duffer! I remember these scams now. People must fall for them though otherwise they wouldn´t be risking their necks doing them. I thought PH would vet their advertisers a little better. Probably anything 30 or 40% under book price is gonna be a scam of some sort!!!

Location says it all. 'West Yorkshire', so Bradford then. I bet it's connected to them scamming tw**s at Keighley Sports And Performance, or whatever it's called.

Too funny... Not even worth the phone call, it´ll no doubt be a piccie of a real car...just not theirs. Gosh everyone hates Keighley Sports and Perf!!! They seem to have a few good cars on their website, all just cheap enough to tempt you! I nearly bought an s4 from them for 9 grand but luckily my brother in law who lives up that way put me straight with a few horror stories about them. Always on autotrader there are cars way way too cheap, but this was the first one ive seen on PH.

Bradistan not Bradford

As for the Scoobyclinic sticker. I doubt the car in the pics is even theirs, especially with the photo dates ect. No one is out to do anybody favours when selling cars, why would anyone sell a car for nearly half its worth to someone they dont know
