What Oil ??
can anyone please adivse on what is the best oil for a 2002 sti ? make and grade.
i have just purchased the car on saturday and want to give it an oil change this weekend.

Welcome 
Read up on oil changes (do a search
) and the standard oil for these cars is a 10w40 grade semi synthetic, unless you know what oil its been using and what mileage is on the clock i would stick with the above oil.

I agree with Tony above, unless it highly modified then stick with what the hand book says, check out Opie oils it a great web site and a great company to deal with you will get all the info you need there mate

Semi-Synthetic is what you need ... ignore the hyping of expensive oils by vested interests - just simply do what Subaru say in the Handbook.
10W-40 and ignore all the calls for you to put power sapping treacle in, like 50 or, worse still, 60
