Depends whereabouts in Essex you are! I use Allen and Hall just off of Crow lane in Romford. Never had a problem there.
When you say "numpty who knows nothing about cars" these guys are qualified MOT testers! Unless you're looking for someone to pass a non-cat equiped car?

Yup Mr Clutch in Chelmsford. The guys know their way around a scoob. Think one of them is a bit behind though as he owns an evo

Been an MOT tester doesn't mean jack sh*t I have seen numpty testers.

I had some tyres fitted to my 806 and had bad vibrations (at 50mph) after. After checking the balancing on the fronts twice (I told them I couldn't feel it through the wheel) I asked to have they checked the rears. When he pulled them off the old weights where still on. When I asked why I was told they dont need doing on the rear of a front wheel drive car. At this the MOT tester came over having seen my car on the lift for the 3rd time and tried telling me it cant be the rear tyres as there is no moving parts on the back of a front wheel drive car
He was adamant they didn't need doing and not the cause of the vibration saying its imposable as its not connected to the drive or steering wheel he was smirking as he said it like I was been silly and didn't have a clue

How can this guy be an MOT tester without a little common sense and mechanical know how
