Default Simteks

If someone has mapped one, can it be mapped by someone else, ie. is it locked and will cost more to map?

What's the general mapping cost?

How can you tell if the ECU is a simtek?

Yes it can be mapped by another mapper. You just need the code which you can find on the ecu. General mapping cost is about £300 + Vat. A car with simtek will have no MAF.

This doesn't look to have a MAF:

Thats correct. Also there should be an air temp sensor on the intercooler pipe. So whats the spec & price for the car your looking at?
