Just want to say thanks to Martin for organising this, and for letting us play with his STi and the other cars brought along - bloody brilliant - better than a road test for sure!
Also thanks to Mike Wood for taking us around in his Prodrive STi7 - lots of developments goodies onboard and over 300 bhp - he showed how the car should be driven.
Now I'm sorely tempted to part with some more readies!

Ditto here.
The ride with Mike was eye-opening. His car had a development version of the PPP for the STI. He wouldn't commit to 300BHP as some detting at max power point for the engine at 6000rpm but it was early days.
Did you see the tyres after 40 laps? Well chewed but usable.
After Mike I took out the standard STI with Martyn but didn't try to emulate Mike!

Now a track drive in the STI with PPP and I could be tempted to buy!

I have already said it once (in the other thread! 
) but thanks once again for the day Martyn, and the rest of the crew from Marlborough and Subaru. It was good to take some standard WRX's out on the track, and then see how much of a difference Martyn's STi is to them! 
The ride around the circuit with Mike Wood must have been an eye opener for everybody, and I don't think anybody got out of that car without a big smile on their face! The way you approach some of those corners sideways, and think "How on earth is he going to get round the next bend? 
" just left me speechless.
Top day out chaps, and once again thanks.
