Will it never end? Help needed...

Have had my '02WRX for 3weeks now and the grin factor is as big as ever
I thought I would have got used to it by now, but every day is as good as the first
I keep making excuses to drive it and have done over 1800 miles, its costing me a small fortune in Optimax
Had to nip into work today,11 miles each way, when I got home I'd done 90 miles?
Just got to nip out to....eer, to thingy's to check something

Ditto!
Although I've had mine almost two months..in the first week we did almost 1,000 miles so far we've done 3,000 which isn't too bad...I've tryed to control myself but my poor little Corsa's going mouldy
So no - it doesn't end..I've just tryed to spend more time cleaning him than driving him recently as I knew I'd gone to far when the guy at Shell remembered my name...

Just got back home after yet another drive to post a letter, strange thing is I posted it in a letter box over 30 miles away, when there's one 2 mins walk from my house!
Not sure how many miles in total it took to post the letter but mileage on car now after 3weeks = 2001 miles
And I don't normally take it to work - got a Co. vehicle for that!
Spent over £400 on fuel 'cos of my hefty right foot, and I don't mind a bit
The TSL back box & ITG filter makes a difference
Having Eibachs/Geometry,centre de-cat and brake upgrade 5th April
Think I'm addicted...is there a helpline for scooby addicts?

Hi Bob,
Your economy figures seriously worry me Mate.... Here am I, carefully running in (only done 450 miles in 3 weeks!!), and you shatter my dreams of economy Sccob motoring, once the oil's changed and I can redline it at every opportunity.
Incidentally, still getting about 28 to the gallon with sensible(?) running in. Probably plummet to the teens after that first service :0)
Cheers, Harry.
PS. Only reason I've averaged 150 miles a week since getting the Rex is that we're still using the wife's MPV (shame to get the Scoob dirty....)

Hi Harry mate,
28mpg...how the heck do you manage that
Hmmmm...think I will have to slow down!
But I didn't buy a scoob for its fuel economy so I can't complain, the grin factor is worth every litre of Optimax it uses.
And the fact that I have to go 20+ miles to get Optimax is a good thing...it means I have to drive it more
Cheers,
BOB
