The new scooby has been out now for a few months, yet I have not yest seen 1 driving about on the roads. Why ?? Are they not selling.
The new Modeo has been out for only 1 month, but I have already seen lots.

I've been keeping my eyes peeled this year and not seen one either. It can't even be the insurance cost in Central London, 'cos what self respected thief would nick a MY01?

Seen a few in the Midlands, but they all look pretty bland at the moment, and apart from the boonet scoop seem blend in with many other cars out there. Maybe that will change when more after market parts are available for them.

Saw a WR Blue 5dr the other day and, while the new model is not quite my cup of tea, I have to admit it looked very nice.
Although I have to admit that I've always thought the front worked better with the 5dr than the 4dr.
Sorry Ady

Simon,
You know when the penny drops?
I drive past your car (I assume it's yours) most days when it's parked at work and I've always thought "Wonder if he's on the bbs"
Now i know, cos ya e-mail address
My company deals with yours (In a round about way) so i'll have to pop in some time.

Yup, I've seen loads, but that was when I visited the local scooby delaer, so I guess it does not count
On the road I've seen
* DBM 4 door
* Silver 5 door
both turbos.
Must say they look better 'in the metal' than in pics.

Saw a 4 door Turbo DBM in Maidenhead on Saturday - looked quite striking in the flesh actually, better than I expected, less like a Hyundai if you know what I mean.
Old bloke driving - no wave, looked at me as if I was a nutter!

I got the first MY01 WRX sold by my dealers. So far in nearly 2 months ive seen the red one used by EVO sitting at the MIRA test track, and one blue Wagon. Only other car ive seen is the silver dealers demonstrator. Its quite nice being an "exclusive"!!!

Saw a red Mica one on the M25 at the weekend. From the side, it's nice & chunky and the back of the car is ok (needs a high-level spoiler though) but the front just looks plain gormless.
Waiting to see the two headlight conversions in the flesh...

I've just seen a Silver 5 dr heading South on the M40 in the middle lane with nobody else around!.
It took me a while to register what it was but it does look better than the pictures I've seen.

Hi Folks...my first message ..
Just bought a new wagon WRX today...and traded in my MY2000 4-door....fantastic handling (already tested that!). Shame about the running in period....
The main reasons for changing were.. releasing the cash I had tied up in the old one (and going onto a PCP)...and ...the MY2000 4 door was always too visible with coppers and kids. Didn't like that at all. If I'd have known before that would be the case, would have gone for a 5-door last year.
Whatever...I'm pleased as punch with the new one...the looks do grow on you, and are definitely much better in the flesh....its chunkier all round...just like me these days, according to the wife.
Cheers.

Why's that then? Do the Dutch not appreciate beautiful cars?
I saw my first MY01 on the road yesterday, and I really DID think it was a Corolla!
I see loads of pre-MY01 about and you can't miss them. Definately a BIG mistake by Subaru to mess with the styling...

Funnily enough, I think that we should have seen it coming. Take a look at the current "new shape" Legacy that was released before the Impreza. That car also moved away from the "evil slanted headlight" look to the gormless puppy-dog headlights and gaping-mouth grill.

I live in a place called Minnis Bay which is a real old farts area - full of Grandads deperately hanging on to their Lada Samaras, and packed full of Blue Rinsers.
My Sti earns me filthy looks every time i drive home from all the old crumblies. Kind of stands out!
And so far, the ONLY new Scooby I've seen is in Minnis Bay. And nobody minds it coz it's an old boy drives it so its just another Corolla!
