water pump

what kind of noise dose the water pump make if its about to go?? is it behind the caseing??

It is run off the cambelt ....

As for the noise, well, depends .... a high pitched squeal is what I would expect - but it could be anything.

Better to whip a cambelt cover off and try to locate the noise.

When mine was on its way out it was almost like a grinding noise or the noise you would expect from a dry bearing. It wasnt a constant noise it would last for less than a second and happen every 2 seconds.
