Default Subaru Impeza Wheels - 2000 classic model

I have got 16 inch pro drive wheels on my car but think they look too small. Any advice on upgrading to 17 or 18 inch wheels? Handling, performance etc. Looks versud handling I guess? Cheers, Deejay

You will get a lot of conflicting answers and a lot of the time it's just down to personal taste. For me as good as 18s look they affect the ride/handling too much so I stuck to 17s which are a good all round answer IMO and I stress the IMO.

As above. According to most people who have done any research, and according to Prodrive, who ought to know, 17" wheels are the best for handling and ride on a classic, plus they look pretty good too.

The ones off the 01-05 WRX and STi cars are good value too. Go past 05, and the PCD changes so they no longer fit.

And also remember that as the rim size goes up to 17 or 18, the tyre profile gets thinner so you don't really fill out the arches any more. If you do, you run the chance of uncalibrating your speedo

I've had 15, 16, 17 and 18" wheels over 3 classic Scoobs and 17" was the best for me for handling and looks. Ran 215/40/17 tyres although you can get away with 215/45/17 too.

I bought a set of STi wheels in 17 from a guy on here, very good price, and they look so much better, no rubbing or affect on handling. have a look at the pic, get a better idea
