Should Subaru just pull out of the UK???
Subaru car production in 2009 drops by 20% compared with 2008!!
2008: 616,502 cars produced
2009: 491,352 cars produced
Subaru UK sales in 2009 also drop by 20% compared with 2008
2007: 6051 cars sold
2008: 4668 cars sold
2009: 3730 cars sold
Never realised just what a tiny market the UK is for Subaru - makes you wonder why they don't just pull out??
Compare with Alfa sales during the same period:
2007: 7355 cars sold
2008: 5950 cars sold
2009: 9067 cars sold

subaru car registrations for jan 2010 are up by 56% on jan 09
alfa for the same months are up 4.8% so subaru must be doing something right? even if the exchange rate for yen to pound is, well, sh[t.
to be honest most car manufacturers have suffered over the last 18 months or so but have been rising over the last couple of months and subaru have never had big % of market share anyway. (you do know about the recession dont you? )
i dont quite understand where your coming from??
just to add that all of the major japanese car manufacturers are doing well on the same jan - jan comparison (except poor old toyota they are down, something to do with brakes maybe the culprit )
