yeah same here my 98 uk takes a good 10 mins of driving to reach the point.

wondering though, should the 98 or 99 for that matter have a fuel warning light?

if so, mine is broke.

I know the 99 has a warning light, but it dosen't come on untill the needle hits the bottom line on the gauge, after this point you have about 15 miles

Thanks, I've not run my needle down quite to the bottom line yet, but I will give it a go now to see if the light comes on... I'll carry a can of petrol with me though just in case.

Yep, it takes forever for the gauge to go up after filling up. The fuel level does have to be really low to bring the light on. I've had it on once in 12 months!

it does take a while to reach top level after filling up and the goes down way too quickly
never really tested how many miles are left when the light comes on never let it run that low tbh

My gauge seems quite slow to rise after a fill up , but once you do some heavy cornering gauge seems to fly up quite rapid. Regarding the fuel warning lamp it should come on when you have about 9ltrs of fuel left. I let my light come on before I changed the fuel pump on my 99 uk turbo, and there was at least 1.75 gallons left in the tank .

Yeah it's in the bottom left of the instrumentation pack, shaped like a petrol pump.

Can't see what's behind the instrument panel for diddle, even when shining a torch on.

I've never seen anything anything light up on the left hand ins. panel, except of course for my ABS light which stays on permanently hehe

I'm hoping that's just the fuse though, but I can't even find the fuse box under the dash... can anyone help?
