I used to have a 55W HIDS4U 6000K kit on my civic type-R, fantastic kit. Not cheap but well worth it. If my STI didn't have factory xenons, I would buy them again!

Absolutely nothing!

The burners that produce the arc are rated at 35W. There are NONE rated at any more than 35W, so what is the point of paying more for a ballast that can service 55W when the arc only takes 35W?

It's a scam by the manufacturers

The difference is that 35w can bring up warning lights on you dash board, And 55w don't.

Eh? Can you porove that, AND explain it, because to an auto electrician, it makes no sense.

Cuckoo ! Because a lot of car are fitted with a CAN-BUS system, cars comes up with a fault on the dash, or simply don't work. Simples !
But you can now buy 50w hid CAN-BUS light error canceller ballasts. WOW technology !!!!!

AFAIK, no Scoob fitted with these aftermarket lights has had problems with the warning lights. The ONLY problem seems to be on earlier cars, where the promised "plug and play" for H4 lights simply isn't.

Or maybe you know something we don't?
