get rid of Mr.Bailey the dumpvalve?
This is my first worthwhile question and I am expecting a quick answer haha, I saw some bad opinions on Bailey dumpvalves earlier by chance...
I bought a wagon from this site/PH and it already has the DV fitted, Im not arsed either way about the noise or chav factor and dont want the age old debate started please lol
BUT I saw that people seem to think theyre bad for the engine? I do get the odd pop from over fuelling Im guessing, but it also has a sport cat system and induction kit and prodrive ECU...
So shall I take it off and put a recirculating job on?
I have basically no mechanical knowledge but have a mate with LOTS so is there a guide someone could point me to or is it a very simple job?
Also a quick list of bits and tips on where to get them would be awesome please lads?
Ill be posting pics of the car tonight in the gallery and loving the forum so far, great bunch!

Re circ would be my choice, the thing with baileys is there cheap. I had one on my first Impreza and it stuck open occasionally was easily solved with cleaning it though. The general thought is if you want one then buy a good one ie Hks, turbosmart or forge.
I had one on this car, a HKS got sick of it and the jumpiness at idle and setting off. Put a forge recirc on and it runs a lot better now too. I don't believe they cause problems if there mapped in.

Its different on your car i think mate, as on mine (newage) it just bolts straight to the intercooler. I think its as easy as that on the classic shape aswell but not 100%, i would imagine there are a few people on here with a re circ for sale for your model and i would put an ad in wanted. I'd look on ebay for one too or get in touch with any of the scooby tuners.
