Default Is the dump valve causing a prob ???

I've just got my rb320 back from Subaru as I had a service done and a couple of warrenty bits dun. Before I took it I had a Hayward and Scott back box and got rid of the mid silencer and it woz popin and crackeling nice and loud. I also had a dump valve Which I brought as a hks but now think it's a copy. But. Wen I took that off first and run the car with just the exhaust on it didn't pop and that. Woz the dump valve makin it not run right and will it be fine to put the dump valve back on ???

If it was a VTA DV then yes, they cause the engine to run slightly rich. This is caused by the ECU expecting the and metering for the air from the DV but as it VTA the ECU AFR never sees it[/I]

Ive also got an RB320 & i would never put a dump valve on her as dont forget the RB320 s have been set up by prodrive,i think you run the risk of ruining a good car by adding pieces of tat under the bonnet, unless done by someone who knows what they are doing.Sorry if that sounds harsh, just think its already a great car without add ons.
