Is your car fitted with the Trackstar tracking system?

Classic tracker fault, it's internal battery packs up, so the unit draws its supply direct from the cars battery. Get it checked out buddy. Oh wait, you're a signing on dole monkey aren't you.... got a multimeter?? i can show you how to measure the cars current draw.

The earlier Trackstar had a nasty habit of not going into 'sleep' mode so it kept drawing too much current from the battery. You need to connect an amp. meter to check the at rest current draw.

You need a multimeter with amp reading on it first.

You can get them from Halfords to a local motorfactors. If you have any local auto-electrical places, they can test for a drain easy but with the multimeter, you can find the cause of the drain.

You switch it to Amps, move the lead on the multimeter into the amps socket. Disconect the battery neg lead and put one test lead on the battery lead, the other on the battery post.
