Default Newbie seeking advice!

Hi All,

I have been thinking about bagging myself a scooby for a while now but haven`t got a clue about them tbh.

I am looking for a turbo model and as new as possible.

Other than that I don`t really know what to look out for.

Budget is around £1500 - £1750.

2000 AWD Turbo? WRX? What should i be looking at for that sort of money?

I am guessing i am better off going for a UK as opposed to an import (insurance) and that the usual "unmolested example" is a must but thats where my knowledge of subaru`s end.

Any info would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

Alex

Something like this would suit your budget as a first scoob...

For that sort of cash your normally buying bottom of the barrel stuff, ie needs work/no tax/mot etc, you should look at having a good 1k in cash to sort any problems out as most of those will be tired examples with little history, really your budget is far too small for a good example, you need say 3k and even then you would need another 500 on top for any bits that need doing.

Tony beat me to it.
At that price, expect to fork out for repairs.
Don't fall into he trap of fitting budget brakes/ tyres or thinking you can run the car on a tight budget.
Great cars but not cheap to run
