Default Exhaust burble comparison ..need as many opinions as possible pls!

Hi all,
I currently have the Racebox from Scoobyworld with a straight thro centre section on my 05 WRX Wagon.
It gives off a nice scoob exhaust note, just not quite deep enough imo .
On previous scoobs I've had the Prodrive B/box with a straight thro centre but it had the PPP and am sure it was slightly deeper .. is this possible? ( Cat removed somewhere?)
Other B/boxes I'm considering ..will they make a deeper/better noise ? ( without the wife noticing )..
Prodrive backbox,
TSL Group N Backbox
Tornado 2
As u can see I want backbox that looks similar so the wife doesnt notice
Ninja 2 I kno will be deeper but wife'll notice
Thanks,
Steve

I had Prodrive backbox and de-cat downpipe, but kept the centre cat... Even then you could still hear the burble inside my house with the car 20m down the road... not too loud but loud enough

I have an 03 WRX, it has a TSL Thundercat downpipe, de-resonated centre, Racebox BB.
I love this as i still get the burble and at revs is nice.
Before i had the Ninja 1 BB and this was definitely deeper, but boy did the motorway drone get on mu nerves after a few years! LOL. That is why i went to the Racebox.
Ninja may be too much for you i think.

Thanks everyone,
Very tempted by the Group N box ...but... If a 2nd hand straight exit Afterburner (angle exit doesnt look right on a wagon imo ) just happened to come up for sale I might be tempted..and get ready to phone the divorce lawyer!
Keep 'em coming folks..........

The racebox and the prodrive backboxes are very similar in sound, whats with guys frightenened of there mrs(better to spend money on the car than in the pub ),honestly i'd go for the afterburner vortex,or blitz nur spec r,then contact my solicator, and look forward to my day in magistrates court.lol
If the car is shared between you and your other half then i can see why you would not want a loud system, but if not wtf.

I've very recently changed the centre section and back box (had Prodrive backbox) on my Hawkeye STI to the afterburner (de resonated) centre, and ninja backbox and think they sound spot on.

I didnt want something that was going to upset the neighbours on tick over or slowly pulling out at 6am in the morning, but I definatly wanted something I could hear. For me the above combo is perfect - gives a nice deep burble/growl on tick over certainly enough to know it's there. But when you open her up on the motorway she sounds as sweet as.

Good value for money from Scooby world - around £260 all in.

Midnight - Yup car is shared and she thinks the Racebox is loud enough

STI Mav - Ninja 1 or 2?
Have had both in the past ..being awkward 1 imo doesnt look right with the narrow neck and 2 I think would be too loud WITH the straight thro Afterburner Centre I have fitted ..or am I just being too awkward?!?

Everyone's comments appreciated...

Ninja 1 - I don't let the narrow neck bother me so much (quite like it infact) because it sounds spot on for me.

Ive got the prodrive full setup, sportcat, second cat delete, a straight through pipe and backbox. The de-res can drone at low revs in 4th! So I dont drive at low revs in 4th, simples!

I agree with you on the ninja 1,nice sounding exhaust ,but it dont look right to me also imho. However the ninja2 comes with a removable baffle that just simply bolts in with 1 bolt, it also sound better imho.
I have one of these bungs on my afterburner vortex and being as most of my neighbours are 60+ ,and i have an old peoples home opposite,i find this brilliant for when i'am going out early in the morning. With the bung in - it is no louder than a prodrive backbox ,but with the bung out there doors are shaking.lol

Vnice sounding and looking!!!

Had an Afterburner on my old Prodrive STi, second best sounding exhaust ive had.(had lots) Best sounding was my decattted 53 STi with HKS hi-power 409 fitted with slightly un equal headers fitted. now that was awesome, went everywhere with the window down!!
