please somone help my baby wont start
hi every one i have a impreza 1995 uk turbo wagon i just serviced her last week ran her for a week then without no sign would not start
drove it up my hill left it idling for about ten minutes turned it off and when i went to start it again would not start, and now when click fob for central locking will only open drivers door, when you try to start it it just turns over until you put ur foot on throttle then it trys to start but just wont kick in, you can smell fuel strong from engine bay when try to start it so must be getting fuel,
also a week before i serviced it, it starting running realy lumpy and missing on idle but soon as serviced it ran like a dream, idle'd perfect, i have checked all fues and can hear fuel pump pressurise the system when first turn ignition on
please if anyone can help can't stand seing her just sat outside

only smells of petrol strong when you try to crack it over for over 10 seconds and put your foot on throttle, was just guesing that was fuel getting pumped into the cylinders and not getting burnt up

What you are describing is classical Impreza flooding
To get it to start NOW it IS flooded, crank it over while slowly depressing the throttle from untouched, to the floor.
Or leave it for an hour and try again without touching the throttle.

NO! You are not supposed to even TOUCH the throttle either before, or during cranking it

has a big k&n on it, could it be anything to do with the immobiliser as drivers door only opens from fob after it would'nt start, and is engine managment light suppose to go off when turn ignition on

Why dont you try ringing some of the professionals tomoz morning?? I have found David at Api and Kev at scoobyclinic really helpful evan when your not purchasing something!! Might be to do with future trade or reputation but either way there really helpful and wont just try to sell you something you dont need.
Hope that helps!!!
