I never got my locking wheel key from the last owner, so the local garage smacked on a socket slightly smaller than the nut, then took it off as normal. Another way might be to weld a socket to it, and take it off normally.

Having thought about this some more and having read a few more posts it looks like the ones with the collars may not always be so simple to remove with this tool.
Anyone know of a mobile person in the Berks / Surrey area who can do this for a fair price (say £20 or £30?).
I'd rather someone professional do it and not bugger my wheels if you see what I mean!

Have just had this removed by a local company, Just Tyres up the road for a tenner.
The guy had to use a commercial air gun from the firm next door to get it off as the boggo tyre one wouldn't do it, but all credit to him, got it off without damaging the wheel, so well pleased.
