Default sti pistons
hi everyone i jus wondered how can you tell with standard forged pistons?iv seen pistons with a square on the top and pistons with a line down the middle and curves...could any1 help with pics? and explain?

ive got a set of sti forged pistons and they ve got a square on the top
done a search and it seems all sti pistons upto 2002 should be forged.

do you no if the wrx pistons have like line on top and curves on the side?
are all forged pistons the ones with square on top?

hi just took apart a wrx and yes the pistons had a curve on the sides
both engines i stripped were 96 s and the sti ones were square

if you can take a picture of the pistons top and bottom and post a picture up then will be able to tell if they are sti pistons or not.

i will take the pics when engine is stripped...the last time i got it built they had standard sti v3 pistons in and im guessing theyr forged?
