My dealer has suggested that I have a Diamondbrite treatment done to protect the bodywork of my new Scoob. It comes with a 3 year paintwork guarantee and they claim that you never have to polish your car again!

Has anyone had this treatment and what are their views?

Had it done to the Terzo when I bought it from the dealer.

IMO A waste of time & money. I still have to polish the car on a regular basis. The pads they use with the finish in cost about £14.00. They did the fabric inside as well but I cant see any benefit.

Get Mark wax wizard round for a top job - thats what I've heard cos I've never used him.

Or just spend a few hours on the car with a complete wax wizard or autoglym kit.

You could use Auto Glym Paint Protector for a very similar finish.Thats @ £14 for a bottle .Diamond Brite costs the dealer @ £35 to buy in.

My girlfriend used to work in a main dealer where they sold that stuff. She got more commission from selling diamond brite than the bloody car!!!
She thought it was a waste of money.
Try waxwizard or somthing similar

Red face

Had Diamonbrite put on my car when I got it last October.

The car looked fantastic when I got it but needs polishing again already. I have contacted the dealer several times to get the Diamondbrite after care/top up stuff but after several calls they ended up telling me that it did not exist

I have now decided just to polish the car myself with Autoglym stuff which was great on all of my previous cars.

Cheers

Cool

Everytime I have bought a car they have really tried to get me to buy this stuff and from memory they wanted £299. The reason they try so hard to get you to buy it is that it costs the dealer about £25.

Utter waste of money, you are better off using a decent carnauba wax such as Wax Wizard.
