I would not buy second hand springs, that's just me.

How do you know they are Prodrive? Are they maked up?

They are IRO £200 with SIDC discount. I wouldn't pay more than a £100 tbh.

They are being offered to be by a well known Subaru specialist, I think they should be red as well if there the Prodrive ones. He wants £120.00 for them

£120.00 was just for the springs, another £140.00 for fitment...! I thought that was reasonable! do you not

i got my eibach (2nd hand) for £180 fitted, so not a million miles away price wise, just ask him to knock down the "labour" charge, it only takes an hour to an hour and a half after all.

springs last for a lifetime. even if they have 100.000 miles they are ok. dont worry about that. as for the price, I sold mine (wrx blue springs) for 100 pounds

So £120 from a dealer seems about right to me. Might try and haggle fitting costs down a bit.

makes sense and would not hurt. some geo set up places allow for a free check anyway so worth doing.

It will be interesting to hear what difference it makes, as that is exactly what I will be looking to do next. The arb, aparantly is really noticable.

£100 is fair but fitting charge is very steep.

Your car will feel much better once the springs have settled a bit. Are you getting whiteline drop links as well?

The next best upgrade to these for handling on a UK hawkeye STi is the steering column bushes. I had mine upgraded when I did the drop links and rear ARB. Makes everything feel much more planted and the steering direct with great feedback.

I was told by a reliable source on here (think he used to work on the WRC cars) that the standard drop links on the 06-07 STI's are very good and do not need changing for a fast road set up.
Don't know anything about the steering bushes
I don't want anything that's going to transmit noise into the car, would drop links or steering bushes do this

Nope. You have a spec D with extra sound deadening anyway, so if it's anything like mine it is quiet by Impreza sandards
