Default Valve cover gaskets?

Got an oily smell when driving the car (no it's not me ) so I'm presuming its the drivers side cam cover gasket - My nearest subaru dealer is 30 miles away, so I was hoping to order a good quality replacement gasket kit online.

Anyone recommend a place to get one from?

Mine did this constantly after a headgasket change, garage couldn't rectify it.

Does anyone know WHY they go on that side? Or do both, but the other doesn't drip on the exhaust?
