Default bit of advice please

right been doing some research on another thread regarding classic offset alloy size etc and now i have two options

i can get a set of 17 or 18 revolution milleniums both avalible in anthricite or silver.

firstly i think 18's look the best and as i have 17's already i thought i would get them in the 18's for show and use thew 17's on the track with some sticky rubber

i really wanted anthricite but they only do them in 8" where they silver are in 7.5"

they are an ET48 which i was told would be suitable for a classic so which would you suggest going for, would i be best to get the 7.5 to be safe and just get them powder coated or risk it on the 8" as some say they have no issues others say they do,

opinions please

The problem with powder coating is that it has been known to crack the alloys,
Also if your car is lowered then the wider wheels may scrub quite badly on the wheel arches

Default Powder coating

Do you mean the powder has cracked or the alloy wheel has cracked?
We have coated 1000's of alloys over the last 15 years and I don't know of 1 that has cracked.
