VTA = Vent To Atmosphere. This is an aftermarket BOV but will not add to the performance of your car if your OE BOV is performing satisfactorily.
OE = Original Equipment.
These cars come with a recirculating BOV and this releases pressurised air through the BOV and back in to the air inlet tract on throttle lift off under load. So it is a closed loop system. The VTA simply exhausts excess air to atmosphere.
Your BOV is located in pipework at the back of your engine that is connected to your top mount intercooler piepwork on one side and to the inlet tract on the other. It also has a vacuum/boost feed line to the top of the BOV which is black and about 50mm diameter with two spiggots coming out of it plus the small nipple for the feed line.
Changing the BOV is not a high priority unless there is a problem with the existing as it adds no power.

Yes but each to their own choices. Me persoanlly stick with the 're-circ'.
Some folk buy a scoob for 2k, make it look bling and sound bling with over 200kg of ice and still think they can take you at the lights - they will have a loud BOV!
Im not saying everyone that has BOV is chavy, but if it serves no purpose then the drver of the car has only fitted it for the sound it makes.... admittably I like the noise, but if anything i found it harmed my cars idling and over-reving during gear changes.
ONLY BEING HONEST.

thanks for your advice rob! This is my first scooby, i absoulutely love them! I certainly am not a chav, and my car certainly doesnt look like the typical chavs 2k bucket!And im definately not the guy who revs as the lights go green! The guy i bought it from was a keen owner and made it look subtally nice! im just in the process of uploading some pics so you can see the bay as requested and a couple of my car...be nice! he he

Woody: look at your intercooler as you have posted it on the photo.
The BOV is on the end of the thick rubber tubing that comes out of the right side front of the i/c as you are looking at it.
BUT: don't change it for a VTA one unless it's at fault. There is NOWT to be gained and plenty to be lost.
