Default thanks to Andy Freeman @ EBC

just thought id share this!
i have a turbo 2000 and bought the later 2pot calipers, ebc spotted and grooved discs and greenstuff pads off a guy on here to upgrade my rear brakes.
anyway i was wanting matching fronts and redstuff pads,so i got in touch with andy freeman on here who is something to do with ebc!
basically i got a email back saying if i buy the discs from brakes4u then he will throw in a set of redstuff pads free!ideal so i did,and the guys at brakes4u gave me a further 5% off the 10% i already had!
so i got 15% off the discs and free pads!

will get them fitted over xmas and update when they are all fitted!

just thought i'd post that as ebc seem to have a bad rep on here!personaly i have had ebc on every other car i have owned and have never had any problems, and i do drive them very hard at times!

I bought my car with ebc discs & pads, the receipt showed they were fitted in August 07. They front discs warped recently. So they lasted more than 2 years which isn't bad is it ?

well to be honest i dont really give a s**t what others think! i have always used them and have never had a prob! i really dont see the point in spending thousands on k sports etc just for the road and never really get the full out of them!
obviously some people on here have to much money and like to follow the crowd!
if people have used them and had probs fair enough, but i bet half the people on here that slag them off have never used them and dont like them because 'they have heard' or 'been told' they are crap!

end of the day they do the job for what i want, they are in my price range as i havent got thousands to spend on brakes that will never be used to the full and just 'look good' behind the wheels!

granted they only lasted a year on the skyline but i did do 4 track days !!!!

Each to there own !!

Had ebc grrenstuff and dimpled/grooved ebc rotors - made a lot of noise and where no better, in fact probably worse that the original set up - at at least had some feel to them without the constant whirring noise and rumble through the pedal when depressed.

Best of all the actual braking/stopping performance was considerably worse that the original set-up.

Personally, i would never, ever put them on another car of mine or advise anyody else to do so.
