Default hi guys im back

hi guys, ive been away for a couple of years now,but after a couple of years of driving dull cars ive bought another impreza. ive gone for a uk turbo this time not the wrx .i was suprised how quick it was.

anyway ive got a question thats more than likely been answered a 1000 times but i couldnt find it.
my impreza is a 96 uk turbo and it has a knock sensor located where the third cylinder oil galley bung should be. were they a standard fitment on this model or aftermarket part.if the latter can i simply un plug and remove it as i want to fit an oil pressure sensor there for a gauge.
