BC coilovers with 5/4 springs over standard ish setup??
Hi guys,
a friend has offered me his BC coilovers with 5/4 springs for my 02 WRX.
there in really good nic and been used for less than a year.
I read the group buy thread and Bren has said the 5/4 springs for a newage are the equvilant to standard wrx ride quality so i'm wondering is it worth going for the coilovers over my standard shocks which H&R springs?
I use the car as a daily drive and thought if i was go get BC's then i'd probably go for 6/5 springs cos i'm looking to do a few track days now my engine is sorted to what i want.
The current spring give me a 20mm drop and i'd like a little more lower.

I have the 5/4 springs and they are definately harder than standard. Cant speak for Subarus but from experience of lowering springs on other cars I would say the ride is very similar.
Obviously you can lower it as much as you like as the ride height is adjustable.
If you do find it too soft you can always put the 5's on the back and just get a set of 6's for the front, wont cost much.

Same here. I've got 5/4s on my 2003 STi. You have the ability to ramp them up to way way harder than OEM setup or loosen it up and go for the relaxed ride.
Mine are 16 clicks from soft front and 14 rear, which equates to a ride harder than the OEM STi setup but not uncomfortable.
