Starting problems " compression ?"
tried to start my classic 97 turbo this morning and it sounds like i have no compression it doesnt sound like it normally does when i turn it over so i stripped it down checked the timing belt that was fine and all the timing marks line up spot on so in theory it should start but wont any ideas anyone ?

i think i may have flooded it while trying to start it do u think this could be the problem then i took one plug out and it was wet through but thought **** it coz i should still have compression whould that cause it to sound like its got no compression ????

could well be when car is flooded engine usally sounds different (under strain sort off) if that makes sense had this prob on my mrs car and changed sparkys and all was good, might make all the difference good luck changing them fella.....bit of a task ha ha ha
