Default fuel pump hesitation few qs

hi folks just few questions first one when my car is idling and i go to rev it a bit it coughs just a wee bit then it will rev up does it randomly mostly wen cold any suggestions to what it is

next i bought a 255 fuel pump brand new off ebay item no. 250530283040 anyone bought one of these i have fitted it no problems but it seems alot thinner than standard fuel pump are they supposd to be like this is the proper walbro like this

also how hard or easy is it to change manifold as got a unequal one with up pipe to fit

these questions all relate to my 94 import just incase wondering

The walbro fuel pumps are smaller then the standard unit

Hi mate is the ecu throwing up any codes? possible maf/idle air control solenoid & sure ive read before the coolant sensor can also cause problems like this,

thats the correct fuel pump they are alot smaller than standard & people recommend you use your filter bag from the orginal

im going to be replacing my manifold/uppipe gaskets soon it doesn't look too bad a job obviously would be easier on a ramp if you have access, only problem it think you'll run into is removing the nuts

thanks for reply i dont think its ecu because it was doing it with the standard one aswell and ive just changed it to z4 and still its happening where is the coolant sensor also i could just clean out the maf and it should be ok ?? i hope

have you actually connected the two black read plugs under the dash then & its showing no stored faults? you can give the maf a clean with carb cleaner then reset the ecu afterwards & see how you go, sorry i misread your orginal post i doubt it would be the coolant sensor but anyway its located to the left rear of the inlet manifold, also what condition are the coil packs & spark plugs? cheers

its still doing it put new plugs in changed sensor cleaned maf as i no a bit dusty due to me sanding down the car and i had if off sittin beside me wee question though i have a 94 import and have a green lable maf does the sensor come out of the plastic to change it or do i need a whole new bit its because my mate has a v plate 2000 classic and he bought a brand new sensor from subaru he just got the sensor by itself but it seems a different fitment to mine could i use his maf as hes gona buy a spare just incase as hes got a indunction kit fitted and gettin his car remapped in 2 weeks at wallace performance
