Default Prosport gauge issues

I've just had some prosport stepper gauges installed and while they are all working fine I have one problem. They are all fine while wired for white illumination, but as soon as we change the white wires to orange, so that they light up amber, 2 of the gauges refuse to work. At first we thought there must be problem with the orange lighting inside the gauges, but, on the opening ceremony, they flash white and amber, as they should. Anyone had similar problems?. Its frutrating as I want the amber to match the dash.

Have you tried it with the white connected to a ign live, Then connecting the orange to a separate live switchable like the illumination.

just looked at a mates prosport set up for him, he having the same problems

traced to connections at the gauge as sensor cable plugs are loose even when clipped in and some movement thus making no connection and gauge is flashing

are your gauges flashing at you, or not reading at all
