Default Sti hawkeye ppp. with or without sportcat?

Hi everyone. I have just fitted a hawkeye sti engine with ppp to my bugeye. I have also fitted a standard sti downpipe with prodrive backbox. Do I also need the prodrive downpipe with sportcat? I don't want to damage the engine. Thanx

To your bugeye WRX or STi?

The PPP is a tightly integrated package and tends not to work properly unless run as a complete package, so the obvious answer is that it would be worth fitting the correct downpipe.

Speaking of which, would it be safe to assume that you are running the 06/7 PPP ECU to match the engine?

Hi. The car is a bugeye 1.6lt. I fitted the engine, complete wiring loom of the car(from headlights to taillights) from the same car only things missing from the donor car was the gearbox, four wheel drive system and the exhaust. The donor car was a 2006 sti with ppp at 316 bhp

I'm no expert but i can't imagine the gearbox will last long. I would say you want the sports cat although it will be safe it will be down on power as the sp cat is more free flowing.

There's no sports cat on a 2006 sti ppp Prodrive only bypassed the 2nd cat (under body) Aparently the down pipe cat has good flow

sorry I forgot to add. I got the gearbox and running gear from a my07 wrx. So even though I still have 5 gears this gear box is better than the one from the 1.6 however when I go for more power first mod will be a 6 speed box. I just couldn't afford everything all at once
