Yes, big.
Supersprint have no opening for gases from waste gate. It is same like OE without cat. Go for Scoobysport o PE.

BPM's new Twister System is gonna obliterate the market with their new exhaust! Twister System that can allow you to adjust it for Torque or BHP, its a 1st.

Cool

Harj is right and wrong.

It's the new GT. There will be a "bung" alaa HKS that can be inserted to quieten down the 3" system and improve low end torque - remove for trackdays/if you like it loud/extra top end power etc.

I think the BPM downpipes are the best - although there are a few ripped off copies out there now though.

lol@ craig. BPM's isn't an original design, the concept has been around for years and used on Imprezas before BPM even existed.

Whatever...

...BPM downpipe is superb - just look at some of the very serious Scooby tuners who use them

Question

Gents, I have a quick question...
so to clarify, both BPM and Scoobysport are a good investment because they both don't have blanked off wastegates, so (according to the dyno data I've scoured) give improved power. My question.....Is the Scoobysport system not as good as the BPM system because it does not seperate the wastegate gas flow from the main Turbo exit ?????

To add further weight to the lengths BPM go to to achieve the ultimate downpipe , not only do we utlise a seperator between the turbine and wastegate exits BUT we have two varioations depending on what turbo you might utlise.

Please read the following blurb...

Concept: Twin Dump engineered for maximum HP/torque extraction

Characteristics : Mid to High end Power

Applications: Subaru Impreza MY93-00 , Subaru WRX MY01

TD38 – Designed for Mitsubishi TD series Turbos

TD38s- Designed for Sti , IHI VF 22-29 turbos, PowerTurbo Series, Apexi IHI Series

Comments: BPM is the only exhaust manufacturer committed to specifically matching turbo exhaust housing to the down pipe. Turbos are different, so the exhaust should be designed for that difference.

Overview: BPM offers has two offerings in the TD 38 range catering specifically to the application

The BPM TD series match the turbo and wastegate outlets precisely with a dedicated secndary pipe to extract waste-gate gasses in the most efficient manner. The diameter of this pipe has been chosen through extensive R and D sessions.

Scaleable purchase since an additional seperator [deeper cavity tongue] ships with downpipe to ensre future turbo upgrades have specific match to downpipe.

HPC COATED for superior corrosion protection, performance gains, elimination of thermal fatigue/oxidation, excellent abrasion resistance, protection at temperatures of -375°F to +1,300°F

The dump system is the most important component of an exhaust hence the dedicated research for maximum horsepower without sacrificing torque through precision turbo matching.

TD38 and TD38s is fully inetrchangeable with Subaru downpipe on the 93-00 models.

My next exhaust will be from Mike Tuckwood at Scoobymania

I'm just waiting for the BPM exhaust to completely rust thru - okay it has been on now for a nearly a year though! - its probably got another few months left in it!

I can only hope that the new BPM system is rust free. I was promised a rear tail pipe swap by BPM but alas is was clearly a 'dream I was having' as it never materialised

The moto 'You gets what you pays for' aint the result for me - Nevermind - I'll try and deal with more professional companies next time!

Hmm old habits die hard on this bbs...

Lets deal with them one at a time...

The ALK was handled by one of our UK agents. We do not deal direct...
A simple phone call would have sorted it out and I consider personally 14 months to be quite awhile to be waiting for delivery..

Steve,

You were told the back section was left with Craig Hardman after I emailed you personally..We delivered on our promise although it seems you did not pick it up. Numerous emails were addressed to you regarding the "free' GT Muffler..

The new UK BPM system will NOT rust since we have adapted it for the UK conditions utlising SUS304 AND FULL mandrel bends. The GT muffler utlises robot welds and the finish is immaculate.

As to your "attack" on the BPM system,it seems some good was gained out of the BPM exhaust "sold" ? to Mike Tuckwood since this was the platform that was used to produce a product that bears similar characteristics
BUT still misses out on core features the BPM TD 38 series presents.

Greg
I dont want to get into a slanging match. I dont see why you shipped it to CHardman

I emailed him and copied you in - but alas have never got a response - then I saw a rear tail pipe up for sale - what a surprise

So you HAVE NOT COMPLETED YOUR SIDE OF THE BARGAIN

IMHO no-one should deal with you!

Check out Scoobymania's exhaust - a similar system (as I'm sure you cant patent something that has been around for a while!) but at half the price!

Steve!

It sounds as though you have a gripe with everyone that sells you something why not check your email and come down to earth as Greg said "They do not DEAL DIRECT!" and they even tried to in your case and it didn't work either.

Best thing for you to do Steve is talk to your supplier as im sure BPM are not interested anymore in a customer who had bought the product from a dealer 14 months ago and couldn't be bothered to collect a replacement.

Harj...

Steve,

I am on this board virtually everyday.

If you did not have a response why did you not approach me via this board?

It's still in my possession, and the backbox I am selling is something I have purchased myself.

Please don't make assumptions on me on things you don't know the whole story to.

GT555,

To answer your question, YES it is worth changing.

I started off trying the HKS d/p (blanked off) and had noticable gains over standard.

However, it was VERY loud, and when Scoobysport got around to making their's, decided to give it a go. I really wasn't expecting any perfomance gains, but was surprised at the results. The SS d/p allowed the turbo to spin up even quicker, and therefore produced more low end torque. It was also quieter.

Then, in a mad moment, I deccided to give the BPM twin dump d/p a go. Initially I was a little dissapointed, until I did some more testing. Apart from the fact that it made the engine run even smoother, and "on my car" lost a little low end power, from 4000rpm, the gains were fantastic.

Having tried another d/p since, I have reverted back to the BPM d/p, and don't envisage changing.

It's been on for quite some time now, and is still in perfect condition. I would recommend it, if you are looking for a "track" orientated car.

The SS d/p is very good for road use. I would expect the SM d/p to give good results, for obvious reasons .

Mark.

Greg

I had been dealing direct with you as it was your "special offer" & after 3 months of no contact, decided to give up, as someone, somewhere could obviously not be bothered & therefore I was not particularly interested in dealing with such a company or organisation that had such customer service.

AFAICR I did chase it/you several times December/January.

REVOLUTION are now selling their own stainless steel exhausts manufactured to their own specification for scoobys and according to two of my mates at recent rolling road tests they are getting around an extra 25 bhp+ from them alone.
Maybe worth a look.

Has anyone here used a mongoose exhaust system from the turbo back ? I have been offered this system at a very good price and am obviously tempted but no one seems to
have disscused this system.

This is my quick response (craigh no wit please)my twopenneth worth is that the HKS racing downpipe is one of the best. I have to confir with WRX 500BHP the very best exhaust system for quality and performance is the Apexi N1, only 5kg from the downpipe back. The quality of build is nothing short of perfect
