Here's the sketch. I own a 5 month old WRX and run a constuction project. The jerk of a site manager under me gets a labourer to paint a hoarding in white gloss with a roller in windy conditions and does not have the forethought to get me and others to move our cars (mine was parked 1m from the hoarding).
I washed the car earlier today and realised the full horror of how many white paint specks are on my blue paint, glass, lights, wipers and trim. Tried MER and T-Cut with no sucess.

Any constructive help will be appreciated. I can't believe how cheesed off I'm feel as a result of such ignorance.

Neil,

Can you imagine what our excess is!

Gary/Simon,

Thanks, I will check it out, though am intrigued as to what exactly it is. Solvent, abrasive, mystery solution!

Try the wax wizard, some of his stuff is good but don't press on to hard !

Plus talk to the paint manufacturer most of them have stuff for this kinda accident.

Good luck !

A few years ago I had a black Abarth Punto GT parked outside our factory. We had a spiral staircase (IIRC) outside for painting with rollers. The bosses son thought it was taking too long so took the spray gun outside. Wind took the paint and dumped it over ten cars.

Took the car to a professional valeter who polished it off in about an hour. The gloss is so much softer than the car paint it came off easily.

Dont panic about it but get it done as soon as possible before the paint fully hardens. Then kick some ****.

Cheers Nathan,

Where does one come across a "professional valeter"? Are we talking £100 or more/less?

Cool

JJ

No way, cost me about £50 plus a beer as he also polished the interior, hoovered it, tyre painted it, cleaned me wheels etc without me asking

Most professional valeters will be in the phone book. I always make sure they have a factory/unit. Not that I'm against mobile valeters but at least they have somewhere inside in case its raining

Trying to find a pic of how she came up.

In a Dave T-S or Phil Stephens style any excuse for a picture

Couldn't find the pic of the paint spots but this is how she used to come up after a valet. This is not the valet after the paint spots but it shows they came off

Edited to add R.I.P

my advice is try a clay bar! that normally takes anything off and doesn't damage your paintwork but only clean it.

I would probably try petrol on anywhere but the paint - Im not being funny but petrol is darn good at getting stuff off. We had some big glass dividing doors at work(massive things) they had some permanent graphics on them, when the co. got rebranded the guys came in and used petrol to get rid of it.

The Autoglm tar spot remover is great for getting crap of cars - I'll admit I've never tried it on paint, but I should imagine it would have no problem.

Someone knocked the back of our car in a traffic queue ( muppet! I was stationary and they tried to squeeze past, the next guy who tried it got our reversing lights ) and left a nice black mark on the bumper, got this off without even trying...

Might be worth a try? Only costs a fiver...

Let us know how you get on!

Should be covered by the contractors insurance or site insurance if he was an employee. Had a similar claim on our site when a fence fell on a car and did damage.

I had some on mine too. The Meguiars Scratch X did not work for me, (bought from OZ). The clay bar is definately the go and one of the things it mentions on the pack is that it removes over spray. Wax Wizard has clay bars.

Cheers,

Wrexy.
