Unknown Connector

Unknown Connector
Hello All,
I was fitting a new Gearshift gaiter on my 1999 Turbo AWD, and as you know the centre console between the seats has to be lifted.
As I was disconnecting the electric mirrors from the console, I noticed another connector, that was not attached to anything, but was what looked like was tied into the same wiring loom as the mirrors.
It was much smaller than the one that goes into the electric mirror socket.
Just wondered what it was for really, and should I be worried, that it should be plugged in somewhere?
Thanks All...

Could be a JDM/UK difference, we got low spec'd motors to add to IM's profits.
DCCD controller sit in there ? Or is it the handbrake switch wiring ?
I dunno !
