about 20mpg maybe less depending on the cost of the fuel per litre

Super Unleaded at £1.11 per litre = 45 litres

200 miles from 45 litres = 20.2 mpg

i think

Thanks buddy. Oh dear. I thought it was going to be pretty grim. I'm really trying to fight getting another car as i love my Impreza. But im chucking way too much coin at it.
I have to do 320 miles per week now and im thinking the old girl really isn't the best tool for the job. I have half the journey on small Scottish roads and half motorway. I could sorely use the AWD 50% but smelly diesel is callling Nooooooo!!

and petrol is only going one way imo

I sold my impreza earlier this year (and I used to get 30 mpg) for the very same problem

I could not justify throwing money down the drain

bought an A4 audi quattro 2.5tdi -- fairly mundane -- but £50 would get me an easy 380 miles

Smile mpg

change your driving style and you should be able to get 350 on a tank of petrol. I could get 34mpg when taking it easy (05 plate WRX standard car), northampton to Hemel Hepstead daily commute with all the traffic.

My wife gets 30mpg from her Golf Diesel, I get over 50mph when I drove it; so I'm 100% convinced it's driving style.

Save the fun stuff for the weekends.
