I had a mongoose Cat back on a Focus ST about 3 years ago I was very impressed with build/value/sound from it so much so I fitted another a year later on the Astra VXR I part ex'ed it for. I coupled the cat back with a COURTNEY stage 1.5 tune (re-map, downpipe etc) and again I was very happy with it.

Hope this helps

Just to put the cat amongst the pigeon's !! My last car was a Mondeo ST TDCI, and I know of at least 2 people who had their Mongoose replacement exhaust's taken off and swapped for something that didn't fall to bits. Bad workmanship, poor welds and general bad fitting were amongst some of the comments made.

Having said that I also know people who have had Mongoose exhausts on various Astra/Vectra's and had absolutly no problems.

The mongoose on my RS Turbo S2 was very loud. The fit was ok but not great. That was along while ago now so things may have changed. I've just put a Revolution Peformance Motorstore on my 2009 sti, very pleased, not too loud and a good fit, excellent service as well. Tell them your on this forum and try for a discount!!

Good quality, they used to use slip joints though which meant they weren't very interchangeable with other systems.

I had one on my FTO. Excellent kit and were one of the few that didn't fall apart. The HKS Superdragger for example used a mild steel baffle which fell to bits in two years thanks to the condensation from the engine. Mongoose was all stainless so a much better item for a lot less.

5t.

Nice deep rumble, not too loud but deep and mean!
