Good News re Road Tax (Fund) for 2001 Classics
Not sure if its old news.....(or if I'm reading it wrong )
I was expecting a road tax bill of approx £400 for my 2001 registered classic next year, however it looks like the government had a rethink
Changes to Vehicle Tax from 2010 | NIDirect
more to spend on mods I think

Looks like I will be stung with £425 next year for my WR1
What the f**k are the goverment going to do with all that extra cash?? They do like punishing us with high emmisons but what about joe blogs that covers 25 to 30 thousand miles in his old banger!!
Wish they would stick the increase on the fuel instead of road tax as I only cover 2000 mile a year in the scoob if am lucky

Never saw that the 1st time I was looking through it. Since I have owened the car the tax has went up every year started off at £190 for the year
Sure my wallet can strech to £245 for the year still anoying tho, was looking at changing to a RB320 but heard that they are allready paying £400

we have this discussion from time to time and understandably people get confused.
Look at the little asterix * next to band K, if your car is registered before 23rd march 2006 and is over 225kgm it remains in band K.

Vehicle tax reminder!
Yup got my reminder through the post yesturday and having bought the car with tax on it i was quite expecting it to be over £400 for a year as mines a very early 2002 wrx registering as 249g/km, but to my surprise only £215. I was under the impression that any vehicle over 225g/km was the highest tax band?

What i dont get is the RB320 is supposed to be good on emmisions so why the high tax,i pay more on tax than i do to insure it.
They should base it on how many miles you do coz i only use the RB twice a week, also get shafted on the fuel too.
