Default Are all jap imports after 1996 mapped to 100 ron fuel?

hi

mates looking a a JDM EP3 to buy, and i know everyone goes on about subarus needing 100 ron fuel after 1996 ..

justb wondering if this is the same for the likes of the ep3 or ek9 imports? glanzas? skylines etc.?

are they all in the same boat? or do they have better knock control on their engines than us

cheers
