All you boys with bikes best be up for a few when it gets a bit warmer.
That`ll really sort out the pub bull5hit "my bikes faster than yours " handbags at 5 paces.
I will post when one`s a cummin.
Tata.

Count me in - especially for Brands, Thruxton or Castle Coombe, as those are my nearest.
Just for the record (I'm sure you agree Arron), at this level track speed is about riders, not bikes. I once got my **** kicked at Brands by a guy on a BMW R1100GS traillie (I was on my TLR). I left him on the straights, but he was all over me in the corners - simply because I was crap (braking early, getting my apexes wrong, etc) and he wasn't.
Looking forward to it...
Cheers

Birdy,
Looking forward to it already. Just posted a little something to this effect on the large Dono post. Shame we can't get on the track at the same time as our 4-wheeled friends!
Anyway, roll on the good weather. BTW, what bike show are you going to on Thursday? Got your text message, but can't make it because of work.
Cheers mate

I offered John "Schuuey" Felstead the challenge but we didnt manage to get it on yet.
I can do 1.45`s full circuit and 1.18`s short at donno on 2 wheels and as you know sub 1 mins in the skyline :
I wish Steve had remembered to press the lap timer in the car to see really how the times compared to bike times.
Would have been interesting.

Arron,
The only comparison I have is that at Mallory, my Scooby was just over 4 seconds a lap slower than the Blade. However, the bikes do have to take the bus-stop chicane at the top of Devils Elbow, whereas the cars do not.
This would add another few seconds in favour of the bike.
I would imagine that at Donno, they would be more closely matched due to more heavy braking for a larger number of corners. Also, there is a nasty ripple on the inside at McLeans that you don't feel in a car, but the Blades front end tended to want to tuck under each time ( nothing to do with the 16" front wheel!) .
Never had the front wheels of a car off the deck under the Dunlop bridge either!
