Default Needing some help deciding

Hi all,

Right, I'm after some new exhaust parts for the scoob but can decide which ones to go for, so needing a bit of help.

I'm after a decat upipe, 100cell Sportcat downpipe and a decat center pipe. All of which to be in stainless and brand new. Not interested in second hand.

I've seen these here Japshop Subaru Impreza 01- Exhaust : De-Cat : Header
but no up pipe but theres also similar parts on Scoobyworld. eg. the ninja DP and the up pipe.

Anyone got any experiences with these cos I heard the DP on Scoobyworld wasn't a very good fit which concerns me.

The car is a 2003 WRX Blob.

I'm thinking it doesn't really matter about the up pipe and center pipe coz they're just straight through pipes but again concerned about fit ment issues on the car. All parts need to be 2.5" and to connect to a prodrive system.

Thanks in advance

Jonny.

Is your system completly standard at the moment or do you have the prodrive full exhaust on?

Its all standard just now apart from the backbox which is prodrive and I think the centre pipe might be too.

The price of the H&S downpipe gave me a fright, 600 notes, but can still phone.

I have this on my MY03 PPP'd Stealth Wagon which will give you an idea. The H&S stuff was all bought during a Group Buy which helped keep cost down & is good quality & fitted with no problems.

Hayward & Scott 100 cell high flow down pipe (only 2 BHP loss over decat pipe & MOT friendly)

H&S Up pipe

H&S Centre pipe straight through

I already had the short centre section from the PPP & changed the PPP Backbox to a Blitz NUR Spec S

Followed by a Tek3 re-map with Pat Herborn to get everything flowing nicely.

290bhp up from 252bhp

275lbft up from 263lbft

Boost 1.3bar up from 1.2bar.

I am a happy bunny

The missing sensor CEL light is sorted out by the new map.

Cheers Mark, some helpful info there.

Doesn't anyone have the Ninja DP fitted? Would like to hear about this also as well as other makes/parts fitted.

One thing I will add. I did a fair bit of research & asked other owners as well as ESC members what they had tried & then had to change or wished they had done differently.

The main feedback was if you mix different exhaust makes you can sometimes get issues with compatability/fit of one make to another. H&S guarantee their fit & with 2 other makes on mine they were right.

Thanks again Mark, thats good to know.

Also, thanks for taking the time to reply to this thread. With all the decatted scoobies around you would think other people would be a bit more forthcoming with some helpful information.

No problem. Happy to share what worked for me.

Depending on how soon you want to fit your new exhaust H&S do a "Group Buy" every now & then, which are always popular. Or if you need right away give Ian (911SSC on here) a ring & see what he can do for you.

Yeah I think I might send a message, the group buy sounds like a good idea. I just been on the phone to AWD in Perth and they recommend the H&S downpipe. Scary price but probably worth it in the long run.

Thanks mate

This is one of the last H&S group buys, started the end of February but still rolling along in September. I said they were popular.

https://www.scoobynet.com/group-buys...ml#post8939902

They seem to have gone up a LOT from this price in September!!!

One piece down pipe with a 100 cell high flow cat is £425 + 15% vat & p&p.

It might be the web site price (£599.25 incl vat) is wrong so worth giving Ian a call.

Ring him on 01268 727256 or direct on 01268 726034.

Yeh mate I think I'll end up going for this one. I've heard that the cheaper ones that around the £300 mark don't last long as the cat becomes loose and starts rattling - not good.

Will give Ian a call and have a word.

Cheers, Jonny.
