Has anyone received theres yet?

I Pre-ordered mine 25-08-09 and havent received it yet.

The TOTB website contact is via messaging only and they never reply!

I have payment confirmation by RBS WorldPay.... Becoming very anoyyed

I'd appreciate any replies.

i'm not involved anymore but will ask trevor to put an update on the site as i understand the dvd is now available but had been delayed.

 

Thanks Chris, as luck would have it they emailed today apologising, they said they sent in today Fingeres crossed then.

 

i had the same email on the same date ..............and nothing !

gonna contact trading standards soon , as they haven't replied to any of the numerous emails sent !

You know what; I also pre-ordered the dvd too.... what a scam...

Im a lover of the TOTB and have been to the last 5 years, and as there was no DVD for the 2008 event due to the guy that edits it fell serious ill if not worse (sorry to mention it, and no slander intended here) they said they were geting some proffesionals in to film this years event.... hmmm. Its now 11 weeks since the event, and according to the website it states:

TOTB 8 DVD News- apologies for the delay but the new dvd is now in stock and all pre-orders will be fulfilled within the 10 days.

Is this a wind-up. I've had several emails saying its on its way.........

The TOTB website above, but please dont bother contacting them on the Contact web page as they DO NOT REPLY!

Like I said before, m prepared to wait if this is what you have to do to get the DVD, but they could at least be honest about the situation, have they "not finished editing it", "lack of funding" or "they have cocked up my order"..

One more week and trading standards it is for me too, im not bothered about he £15... I want the DVD!!!

 

yeah i know what you mean ! they seem to have cocked up major this time !
i am also a fan of totb and have all of the dvds (barring as you say 2008 as there wasn't one)

i have yet again emailed them today and yet again , no reply !!!!!!

 

it says on the totb website that all pre-orders will be fullfilled with the 10 days !

what ever "THE" 10 days are ?!?!

also i don't know when the message was posted !

as i had an email on 30th sept saying that "the dvd would be posted tomorrow" , we are now on 12th oct .

 

Ordered mine begining of september...

same emails sent as you guys. 'Be in the tomorrow.'

Still no reply to any emails or phone calls. And still no DVD.

 

have been talking with trevor (who is ten of the best) ! great guy !!! he says he is having probs with the dude that is doing the dvds !
i have recieved my dvd today ! and it is going back , the coverage is poor at best and the dvd running time is only 49mins , this looks like a dodgey copy (all be it the quality of the filming is ok) that you can buy from your local market or from the pub !

Just watched the dvd, it didnt last an hour and what a load of sh_te.

If your interested in cars zooming past the camera with guitar music playing looped in the background i would recommend standing on a motorway bridge with your ipod playing the best of the eagles track 7 on loop.

You go to a motor event like TOTB to watch he cars and the drivers giving it their whole... watch the dvd and all you hear is poor quality interviews, music playing over the sound of the cars performing, and shots of about half if not less of all the cars that acual competed.... This is a low budget dvd and its simply not worth watching....... I'd hate to see the organisers of TOTB loose out, but this is a really poor reflection of a well organised event.... Its a shame the dvd took 2 months to arrive and when it did arrive its an utter sham. I took better footage with my SONY Handycam!!!

 

i'm not personally involved anymore but this is disapointing to read, and i know Trevor Duckworth is furious at the delays in people getting their paid for dvds. hes on the case now to get the guy to send him the master disc and get this sorted where copies are missing.
previous totb dvds were made in house but as people may know Simon Hinshelwood died last year, hence trevor using a new company for this season, probably the first and only time by the sound of it.
give trevor chance to sort it and the dvds will be shipped out, and if anyone isnt happy with it he'll also sort it out for you. Its been something out of his control in terms of the dvd supply and box quality etc, and hes only just been made aware that orders havent been fulfilled by amseurope tv.

 

Any update on this?? I think its been long enough and were not being kept in the loop

 

I remember TOTB aka Rocket Ronnie etc on the telly a few years ago, why wasn't it just made an annual event on the telly? Was it a special year or something?, decent quality showing, i enjoyed that and looked to watch it again but it never showed, shame. Nice to see the Scoobies Evos and Skylines at their best (and occasionally worst).

 

Thank god its not just me. they take your money, no DVD and no replys to emails.
Next TOTB when they are selling TOTB8 I will just take one off the stand. I can't get done for shoplifting as I'v paid already.

Hiya Bez... Im going to request a refund, The dummy totb 2009 dvd isnt worth using as a coaster. Its shabby in every way, read the above thread.
