Get a snooper from Halfords,Under £100 and picks up fixed and mobiles.Works a treat and gives plenty of advance warning.

Try this link for advice: UK Speedtrap Guide. Radar, GPS and Laser radar detector guide.

Once you start looking at it all though a detector simply isn't enough. Laser 'jammers', detectors, gps systems are all needed if you want true protection.

There isn't one that actually picks up mobile speed traps, it only notifys you of their location (if known) and relies on other road users reporting said speed trap.

Your eyes as said is the best thing to use, some of the hand held radar's can get you up to 4500 metres (nearly 3 miles) away. Although these are probably only used on motorways they'll get you long before you see them.
