Default Fast flow cat & remap

If I were to fit a fastflow cat downpipe (centre cat already removed), it is preferable to get it remapped, but is it essential?

I have MY00 UK Turbo with Prodrive ECU out of an RB5.

I do intend to get a remap eventually, just not straight away.

Would it cause any problems.

Cheers for your help.

I ran mine with a Prodrive Sportscat only for 6 months before remapping with no issues, you probably will get a CEL for the emmisions though...
