I don't really care, I've declared everything that's not OEM on my car, even brake pads.

Do you really believe that all the people with mega BHP Scoobys/Evo's etc declare ALL their mods, cos I certainly dont think they do!
If he choses not to declare the mods then its his risk if he had an accident which is HIS fault, if its not his fault then im pretty sure that the insurance will only replace his damaged modified parts for standard items.
Its people who dont insure the cars who cause the premiums to go up when they have a crash, and in some respect the younger drivers who insure a car on there parents policy and then have an accident.
Just my 10p's worth

the way i understand it is if u mod your car and dont tell the insurance they can make your policy void but in most cases they will pay out the 3rd party but your lose your claim so technically a modified car with undeclared mods fully comp is as good as 3rd party and thats it. personally i wouldnt run the risk once my car has its mods done everything will be declared cos if something should happen id be more likely to get my money back

its winds me up because im a young driver whos modded cars since i was 18 and iv done it legit all the way and having just got my 4th years and had claims my policy has gone up is a **** take. £2000 to insure my project impreza ALL MODS DECLARED is a joke.
if i do it, why cant others.

However, not declaring mods more or less means your insured 3rd party only. More fool those that pay fully comp or declare the wheels but not the suspension, engine, mods.
