I'm taking all my engine parts up there next week for them to work their magic on.

hopefully should come away with a 500-550bhp capable engine

hi mate just asking how much are you going to be paying for your rebuild as my engine has gone popped to?

hi mate,

I have literally sourced and bought all the parts myself for the actual build itself. My original budget was £2000 its more like £9000 by the time everything is built, mapped etc.

I'm not 100% sure of what David's final build costs are but he explained his process of building, taking apart, measuring and then rebuilding to ensure the engine is at its best when it leaves him, IMO that is the type of quality I want to pay for....NEVER want to have to go through this again

Are you going for a fully forged build yourself?....you know you want to

David did a rebuild on my old v.4 sti RA about 4 years ago, top guy, funny, witty, you will not be dissapointed! Anything David does not know about Imprezas is really not worth knowing
Top quality service with after sales service 2nd to none, well Carnetix, maybe

i had some work done by them back in Febuary this year. I left the car with them for three weeks whilst i was away and it was all ready for when i got back, They even keep all the old parts for me and expalined exactly what the issue was and how they had fixed it. Very helpfull over the phone before i booked it in, excellent service and commiuncation the entire time the work was being carried out.

I would use them again.

Very impressive

What about engine removal/refit?

I'm sure he can/will do it, but is that at an extra cost to the one you quote?

thats included iirc. think it was £1600 without removal etc. you would be silly to not let then set it up and get it running tho imo. David @ api was very very helpfull. i didnt get the re-build in the end due to funds. but, Hes such a geeza i rang him out of curticy (spelling) to say i could not raise the money and im going to attempt a engine biuld my self, he even told me how to do it and the doos and donts!
Great fella if ya ask me, if i had the dolla i would quite happly throw money at them to work on my scoob. you get what you pay for these days and i would highly recomend them though customer service alone! i was not even his customer!!

do it, next time the scoob goes bang, i will surly get it up to them!

top company, top service and advice. i have found they or he will not sell you something you do not need, the amount of emails and phone calls i have made to them and each and everyone has been replied to even be it half of them stupid things and not even about parts i was going to buy from them. i would not take my car any where else given the choice. you will not go wrong mate. as long as you have a clear cut path you wish to take and achieve with the car they will sort you out. in the time i have used them i cant not fault david and his team, good luck with the build and i hope you enjoy the end result.

Another big for David and the guys at APi.

They rebuilt my PPG gearbox and it runs sweetly.

Great service, communication and standard of work.

I just wish they were nearer to me geographically.

Guys at API rebuilt my engine a couple of years ago, after i put a conrod through the bottom end and screwed a piston
have nothing but praise for David and his team and special thanks to Nathan who helped me no end when i had to bring back due to few teething issues, kept me informed of how they was doing through the whole process, even stripped down and rebuilt again due to a slight tapping i felt uncomfortable with, if funds permitted i would take it to them every time.due to my own fault have now snapped a camshaft and seized a cam pulley so in the process of getting that sorted, if it wasn't for the nasty crunch it would be with them now.

anyway BOT i have trust in what these guy's do and would have no hesitation in letting this team loose on my pride
