At first I thought it was a real firemans outfit.. fitted onto the snow etc...
but looking I think it must be coloured snow...
Very effective...
Dunno how anyone could not realise it was a fireman.. but then strange how peoples eyes and brains interpret things differently.
No offence intended by that, it is like the strange shape paintings where someone sees a butterfly and someone else a face etc..

I'm using a laptop -- colour reproduction isn't great. I will look again when I get home and see if it's more obvious. From here it still looks like a fluffy monster (I thought it was some sort of mascot for a football team or something).

Stunning.
If carl needs glasses, so do I. I only just saw the "head down" bit when you said, I also thought it was eyes.
Difficult to recognise a US fireman if you are not used to seeing their uniform, and living without a TV, that includes me.
Nevertheless, a hell of a sculpture. Hats off to the creator. Penni, thanks for posting it.

Ain't it great that it was only NYFD and NYPD and americans that died that day
yeah yeah they were very brave an all that,
but what about a tribute to the a/c pax that actually fought back.. They were the truly brave ones..

It's only a tribute nothing more nothing less and was not intended to undermine the bravery or pain or loss of anyone. No need to go off on a tangent. Simply an amazing piece of work done by an ordinary everyday person. Oh and by the it would appear that only fine wines ages well.
To the other person - my first attempt and uploading the picture did not work as my technical skills are not as proficient as yours I would expect.

Had to visit to see the sculpture. I think its brilliant!! Also, with regard to Rich Squire's comments, as mentioned above by luke, I think he is extremely dis-respectful
What a horrible man you are!!
