Do you get suspension knock on Spec C's?
Apologies if this is in the wrong place and it should be elsewhere on the site, but I thought it would be best to start my thread here.
Anyway, I've a question for Spec C owners out there: as I understand it the Spec C model(s) received uprated suspension units front and rear? Are these uprated suspension units immune to the dreaded newage suspension knock?
The reason I ask is because I have an '05 STi Type UK and I think that one of my suspension units is starting "the knock". I know you're all going to tell me that I should go for coilovers, but I'd much prefer to keep "official" parts on the car only and so would rather opt for Spec C units as a replacement - but only if I'm 99% sure that they aren't going to come with the same problem as the original STi units.
I've already spoken with one Spec C owner whose told me that his suspension has been trouble free, but I thought I'd put a post down and see if any other owners could offer any insight.
Many thanks!

Thanks for the replies everyone; possibly a little detail I should have added in my original post, but the replacement (Spec C) parts I've been offered are 2007 items. I don't know if that changes the unit at all?
As much as I want to keep everything STi, coilovers seem to be making more sense...

Thanls for the information everyone, looks like I'm going to have to go non-STi and go with some coilovers. I see the BC's and Tein's are both pretty reasonable, but I think I might save some pennies up and go for the AST option.
