A rebuild every 60k or so, 9 miles to the gallon if you have a heavy right foot...Just 2 reasons why ive never thought of owning one.
I know 2 people with them, one wrote his off last Sunday, the other is up for sale because he cant afford to run it after spending a few quid on mods.

Well I have to say that my RX7 was the best car I ever owned, was so much better to drive than any of the scoobys i've owned (Type R included).
Yes they need a rebuild from 60k onwards but so do alot of scoobys too!! A rebuild costs from £1500 which is far cheaper than a scooby rebuild with new parts.

My advise would be to have a drive in one and see what you think!!

Not fan of them really but have been out in a modded one running 425bhp and they are chuffing quick cars.

I know of at least 4 people that run big power RX7's as daily drivers- as long as the engine has been rebuilt with super seals you will have no issues, one guy has done 60k miles plus with loads of abuse hes running 500bhp plus with a HKS T51r turbo, fuel economy is around 17mpg off boost on this paticular car...

scoobies aint too reliable once over 500. if your looking for a big power build 500 plus get youself an rx you cant go wrong make sure its built by a proper company and youl be fine you will easily hit 200mph with 550bhp to 600bhp rx i can only think of a few scoobies that can crack the magic 200mph. if you want something thats mildly tuned and fast for the road get a scooby.

check this video out and that car hasnt even got in to 5th gear.

Go out and drive one and also try asking on an RX7 forum.
