Cambelt DIY
Evenin all. just a quick question. i am quite confident and competant at doing jobs on my car myself. i am looking at the cambelt. is this something that can be done at home ? how easy is it on an 04'STi.?. if possible are there any how-to's.

it is something that can be done at home, and is as easy as any other cambelt to do, the main things to watch out for are, use the correct marker on the toothed crank pulley, dont the let the n,s,f cam pulleys rotate once the belt is removed, the rest is easy

in asking for advice. which is the main part of a forum. i also enjoy doing things myself and not getting mugged off by some garage. if you have nothing of interest to say please dont post. and you are more than welcome to go and get someone to do everything on your car, jeez the fun of that.

best bit about doing a DIY timing belt is spending hours on the job, getting it right, getting it all back together again and then the wife coming outside and asking what you have done, show her the old belt and for her to say "is that it"

you are the one saying you are competent in one post then the other asking how to do it , i have changed my own cam belt and many others, and have never paid anyone to do anything on my own car, have fun f@cking up your cambelt change! ******.
